This week we bring ourselves back from podcast furlough to sit down with Caroline Thwaites, the founder of Harry’s Hat - volunteer fundraiser, award-winner, insta-celebrity and mum to Harry in addition to holding down her role as Fundraising Manager at RASASC. Captain Kenneth wants to know all about the flirty journalist, James is looking for material to report back to Japan with and our guest is dodging her citizenship homework.
We talk about working for smaller organisations, setting them up and the challenges of appreciating other’s priorities. There’s training, being in awe of the big boys and ensuring we look after fundraisers. Caroline spills the beans on embarrassing Waitrose encounters, Kenneth breathes a sign of relief that he didn’t drop the Queen Mum’s pot and Jimbo wonders if he also missed his awards announcement.
